Reading: Read a book of your choice for pleasure (at least 20 minutes). Be sure you have taken your RQ for Island of the Blue Dolphins. Don’t forget to submit your results, if you haven’t already. 

*Look back at the blogs from Monday, October 12th through today to see which assignments need to be turned in with your Reading packet this afternoon (by 5:00).  I will pick up your work on Saturday morning from the bin. Handwriting: Lesson 8, Day 4


Vocabulary: Review Unit 4 Words. Write a sentence for each word, showing that you understand the meaning of the word. Underline the vocabulary word in each sentence. For example: 5. We are hoping that new large businesses move to the Memphis area, which will employ hundreds of people who are currently out of work. Head your paper correctly.

ELA (Journeys): Login to your ThinkCentral account. Practice navigating your ToDo List. Read the story. Try utilizing the markup tool to annotate the leveled reader. Try the “add note” option. Look at the “writing a news report” assignment. You received the test for “Invasion from Mars” in your packet. Complete the test. This will not be graded as a test, but as a practice to become familiar with the format of the test. We will practice taking the online version on Friday.
