4th Grade:

Daily Language Review (DLR): Week 8, Tuesday (sentence/not a sentence, correct the sentences, adjectives) 

Handwriting: Lesson 9, Day 2

ELA (Journeys): 



Reread “Coming Distractions: Questioning Movies” before our morning Hangout. We will discuss in depth. We will be focusing today on fact and opinion, compound words, helping verbs/past participles https://youtu.be/kn6H40gqD6g , introductory writing focus - evidence https://youtu.be/o22BiMAMKPA. Readers Notebook pages 77, 80, and 84 should be completed today. 
Math: Minute 35. Properties of Multiplication, Lesson 4-1, continued. Workbook page 49 (class work - together), page 50 (independent).


Religion: We will discuss Dorothy Day and how she gave hope to people who are poor, pages 47-49. Dorothy Day House, Memphis connection.

Social Studies: We will discuss Lesson 3D, pages 30-31. https://youtu.be/BWtW0gmh3kg

IXL Skills for the week: ELA U.1, U.2, OO.3, OO.5, OO.11, and V.2. Math D.24, D.12, and D.22. Social Studies B.1 and B.2.

Readworks: “History of Halloween” due Friday.

This is the last week to earn RQ points for October.

**You can wear your Halloween costume to “class” on Friday afternoon. Remember, your costume is a secret. 


5th Grade:

Math: Estimate products of whole numbers, continued. Workbook pages 35 (in class - together) and 36 (independent). IXL C.9, I.1, C.3, C.4, C.5

Science: Review Lesson 1 and 2 concepts. Lesson 2 Review (from your packet this week).

Religion: Discover the meaning of the Passover. Pages 80-81. https://youtu.be/UFU5NrPgutA

Vocabulary: Recognize synonyms and antonyms of words and use words in sentences. Pages 60-61. IXL HH.2 Word Cards 5-8.

Reading: Turn and Talk, second read (idioms, compare/contrast, formal/informal language, verbs and verb phrases. Your Turn. Reread “Off and Running” before our Hangout. 

English: Subject/verb agreement, Reader’s Notebook 29, 32, and 36.
