4th Grade:

We will be focusing today on vocabulary in context, fact/opinion https://youtu.be/FIyt5pEcE_g  verb tenses https://youtu.be/4Rm9l6y3-WY and writing an informational paragraph. Reader’s Notebook pages 76 and 79 should be completed today.

Religion: Explore how Dorothy Day gave hope to people who are poor. Pages 47-49.

Readworks: “History of Halloween” due Friday.

This is the last week to earn RQ points for October.

**If you want to wear your Halloween costume to “class” on Friday afternoon, you absolutely CAN! We will talk about it today. :0) Do not tell anyone what you costume is.


5th Grade: 

Math: Estimating products of whole numbers, pages 48-49. We will complete page 48 together (have your dry erase board or scratch paper ready). Page 49 will be completed independently (13-29 ODD).

Science: Understand how cells work together. Draw a skin cell in your journal with notes. Pages 44-45. 

Social Studies: Explain how North Americans adapted to varied environments and describe their culture. Pages 28-31.

Religion: Explore the Stations of the Cross. Pages 77-79. Click on the image below to enlarge. 


Vocabulary: Introduction to Unit 6 words. In context, pages 56-57. Words/definitions pages 58-59. Word cards for words 1-4.
