Daily Language Review (DLR): Week 8, Friday (combining sentences). 

ELA (Journeys): Close Reader Lesson 7 (assigned in https://www-k6.thinkcentral.com/ePC/logout.do). Acquire and use domain-specific vocabulary.

Grammar: Review verb tenses. Reader’s Notebook page 83. 

Writing: We will analyze a model together, and complete the Interactive Lesson (writing informative texts: organize your information).

Math: Minute 38. Check Your Progress, pages 72-73 (1-23 ODD).

Religion: Who fulfilled God’s promise? Pages 52-53.

Readworks: “History of Halloween”, due today. “What is a Galaxy?”, due November 4th. “The Changing Night Sky”, due November 9th.

Today is the last day to earn RQ points for October.

**Don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume to our afternoon Meeting. We will meet together (4th and 5th grade) at 1:30. Be sure to answer the call with your camera OFF. 

**Packets are due by Monday, 12:15 - 1:15 (Library). You can pick up your new packet, and turn in the old one. If I get your new packets ready early, I will let you know. Double check to make sure you have included all worksheets, workbook pages, and papers, and that all papers are headed correctly.

5th Grade:

Math: Check Your Progress, pages 52-53 (1-37 ODD).

Science: Build a model of an arm, to learn something about the real thing, pages 50-51. Practice learning cell parts and functions. Complete IXL O.1, O.2, O.3, O.4, O.5, and O.6. Due next Wednesday, November 4th. 

Social Studies: Finish your totem pole before we meet at 11:30. You can present during our meeting. :0) 

Vocabulary: Sentences are due today.
