ELA (Journeys): Vocabulary (Review Vocabulary in Context) Student pages 170-171. We will review target vocabulary together, then use the learned words in a Quick Write. We will review action verbs, main verbs and helping verbs, and linking verbs.

Math: Minute 29. Lesson 3-4 (Subtract Greater Numbers) We will work through pages 55 (7-25 ODD) in class. You will work on workbook pages 39-40 independently.

Math: Chapter 2 TEST (you have the paper copy).
Social Studies: Trace the development of the 1st North American cultures of the Cahokia. Lesson 1, page 26 (Answer questions #2 and #3 on page 26.)
Religion: Know the Church names the mystery of Jesus becoming man “The Incarnation”, pages 70-71. Activity: Christmas customs
Vocabulary: identify words by their synonyms and antonyms, and use in sentences. Pages 50-51. Word cards #9-12.
Reading: Complete “Before you read the chapters” (Chapters 28-29) on page 57 of your packet. Would you read another novel by this author? Why or why not? Read/Listen to chapters 28 (https://youtu.be/uBQfK3x5Wqo) and 29 (https://youtu.be/Od9knYzH3U4). Complete Vocabulary (page 57) and answer the Comprehension Questions on pages 58 and 59. Complete Extension Activity A (book cover), G (A Book Review), and one other (your choice) from pages 60-67. The RQ for Island of the Blue Dolphins should be completed no later than Wednesday.
English: Identify complete subject and complete predicate and use proper subject-verb agreement. Reader’s Notebook pages 27-32.
