4th Grade:

Daily Language Review (DLR): Week 12, Thursday (Parts of speech, Homophones)

Handwriting: Lesson 14, Day 4 (Luke 6:27, 28)

Reading: Reader’s Notebook pages 109-110. Complete these pages as you reread “Jose’! Born to Dance”. Check ThinkCentral for the following assignments: Read “Dance to the Beat”, pages 304-306. Compare Texts, page 307. Complete the Text to Text, Text to Self, and Text to the World sections. Email your answers to me by the end of the day. Complete Reader’s Notebook pages 111 (Shades of Meaning) and 114 (Proofreading).

Grammar: Reader’s Notebook pages 118 (Plural Nouns) and 119 (Combined Sentences).

5th Grade:

Social Studies: Describe how trade developed between Europe and Asia. Pages 54-55.

Religion: Decide how to use your gifts to assist the mission of the Church. Pages 108-109.

Vocabulary: Associate unit words with other words and use context. Pages 84-85. Write sentences that show you understand the meaning of each word. Sentences are due Monday.

Reading: A myth is a story that tells what a group of people believes about the world or an aspect of nature. Many myths feature animal characters that act like people. These characters often have one special trait, such as determination or wisdom. Myths also include a lesson or an explanation meant to help readers understand how something in nature has come to be. Check ThinkCentral for the following assignments:  Read “Why Koala Has No Tail”, pages 194-198. Compare texts (page 199). Complete the Text to Text, Text to Self, and Text to World sections, and email your responses to me by the end of the day. Complete Reader’s Notebook pages 63 (synonyms/antonyms), 66 (proofreading), and 70 (subjects, predicates, and complete sentences).
