IXL Skills for the week (due TODAY): SKILL PLAN - ELA Lesson 15 1 (Main Idea), 3 (Poetry), 4 (Guide Words), 5 (Dictionary Definitions), 6 (Context Clues), 7 and 8 (Irregular Past Tense Verbs). MATH Lesson 7-2:1 (Properties of Division) and 7-3:1 and 2 (Estimating Quotients). 

Daily Language Review (DLR): Week 18, Monday (correcting sentences, simile or metaphor, subject/object pronouns).  Please complete BEFORE our morning Meet.

Handwriting: Lesson 19, Day 1 (Mm)

Reading: Lesson 16 - Introduction to vocabulary (pages 468-469). Anchor Text “Riding Freedom” (pages 472-483). Read the story silently to yourself or follow along with the video @ https://youtu.be/lDoEcK1odqw BEFORE our morning Meet. We will read it together and discuss. 

Spelling: Reader’s Notebook page 196 (words with /k/, /ng/, and /kw/).

Grammar: Reader’s Notebook page 199 (adjectives). 

Math: Lesson 7-4 Find whole number quotients using models such as arrays and area models. Pages 136-137, workbook pages 97 (We Do) and 98 (You Do).

Social Studies: We will look at the article from last week “Slavery, the Civil War & Reconstruction: Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Address”, to review how to answer text dependent questions and annotate.

Religion: Begin Chapter 9, pages 119-121. (Explore prayers as an expression of friendship with God.)

5th Grade: 

IXL Skills: Skill Plan ELA: 11:1. (similes/metaphors), 5 (personal pronouns), 6 (subject/object pronouns), 7 (replacing nouns with pronouns). Skill Plan MATH 5-1: 1 (prime/composite numbers), 2 (prime factorization), 3 (prime factorization with exponents), 5-2: 1 (greatest common factor) and 2 (greatest common factor of 3 numbers). Due today.

Social Studies: Finish up your Black History Project/Poster, and turn it in today, please. Check spelling, neatness, etc. Remember, these will be added to your homeroom’s hallway display. I know you will make me proud!
