Don’t forget to work on RQ points (this is the last week to earn points) and XTRA Math!

Our morning Meets will be at the regularly scheduled times. Our afternoon meeting today will be at 2:15, due to my SPARKS schedule. Be ready for Tuesday’s activity. You will need your bag, a good pair of scissors, and some good glue. You may also want to use some markers, so have some handy. :0)

4th and 5th Grades will be meeting together in the afternoons (1:30) to work on our Christmas Arts and Crafts (from your bag). :0) We will be meeting on Thursday this week, too! The Middle School Students are taking exams, so they won’t be attending SPARKS on Thursday. We will also meet together Friday morning for a special activity, and to open your surprise box!

4th Grade:

IXL Skills - DUE THURSDAY, December 17th. Math F.2, ELA K.1, D.3, A.2, G.3, AA.2, AA.3, Y.4, Y.5, Y.6, U.3. These are continued from last week, no new ones have been added. :0)

Reading: “United States”. I have emailed this article to you. Print, and use as a close read. Remember, in a close read, you should annotate using the annotation markings in the chart below. Don’t forget to underline the title and number the paragraphs.

If you are unable to print the passage, all you have to do is take a screen shot of it, and use markup to annotate on your iPad with your stylus (what you use on whiteboard.fi). Easy-Peasy! Be sure to save your annotations.

Readworks: “Deep Roots” has been assigned. We read and discussed the passage today. The questions aren’t due until Thursday.

Math: Join in All the Reindeer Games! How Many Bells? Give your brain a workout! Use the clues to figure out how many bells each reindeer is wearing! Work on XTRA Math!

Science: We will discuss the video from yesterday, “Where do Bugs go in Winter?”. Also, https://mysteryscience.com/mini-lessons/coldest-place?code=8ddbdf55f932de162ad7566acfceafe5 “What is the Coldest Place on Earth?”. Watch the video BEFORE we meet this morning, and we will discuss.
