4th Grade:

Daily Language Review (DLR): Week 11 Thursday (root/base word, antonyms) 

Handwriting: Lesson 12 (Matthew 7 : 1, 2)

Reading: Read pages 276-278 “Field Guide to Snakes of the Southwest”. Compare Texts, page 279. Complete the Text to Text, Text to Self, and Text to World Activities on paper. Head your paper correctly. We will discuss this on Friday. 

Grammar: Antonyms, Reader’s Notebook page 99, Kinds of Nouns, Reader’s Notebook page 106. Proofreading for Spelling, Reader’s Notebook page 102. 

Writing: Prewriting - Planning an Explanatory Essay. Create a chart like the one on the left, or print this one out to use. Using the completed chart on the right as an example, fill out the information for the topic you chose yesterday (the one you did on your whiteboard).


Math: Minute 52. Lesson 5-3 Introduction to Using Area Models to Multiply. Watch the following videos again, completing the problems along with her, neatly, in your DoNow/Bellwork Composition Book. At the conclusion of the second video, take a screenshot of your completed problems, and post in your personal Hangout. Religion: Chapter 5 TEST in BeMyDisciples. 

Science: Finish Chapter 5 test, if you haven’t already.

Social Studies: Lesson 4A - the NW territory caused conflict. Read pages 32-33.

Readworks: “First Thanksgiving Meal”, due Friday. “Native Americans” Article-A-Day set, due Friday (choose 2 or 3 of the articles to respond to).

XtraMath: Log in and get familiar with the content. :0)

5th Grade:

Math: Lesson 4-3, continued. Page 73 (16-23 ODD) Show your work, and check your answers.

Science: Read Chapter 3, Lesson 2. We will discuss Lesson 1 and 2 on Friday.

Social Studies: Understand how woodland people governed themselves, pages 44-45.

Reading: Close Reader Lesson 5 (ThinkCentral) “Let’s Dance!” Read and follow directions, using your stylus to write in/on the text, defining vocabulary, etc. 

Grammar: Using exact nouns (Reader’s Notebook, page 59) and strong dialogue (Reader’s Notebook, page 60).

XtraMath: Log in and get familiar with the content. :0)
