4th Grade:

We had a BIG day yesterday with Reading AND Math tests. You worked really hard! Some of what you will complete today will be what we didn’t get to on Wednesday, since we were testing. :0)


Daily Language Review (DLR): Week 10. Thursday (Context Clues, Common Nouns/Proper Nouns) 

   

Vocabulary (Sadlier): Review Unit 5 words (Practice Worksheet) Assigned in Sadlier. 

Handwriting: Lesson 11 Luke 9:58

Reading: ThinkCentral: Lesson 9 - “Dear Mr. Winston” vocabulary and FIRST READ. Textbook pages 256-271 (so you can follow along, or if you choose to read it yourself, instead of listening and following along). 

Grammar: Compound Sentences - Reader’s Notebook page 103 (if you didn’t get to it on Wednesday). 

Writing: Book Report (on paper) “Me and Uncle Romie” follow the anchor chart below to write your paragraph. (If you already completed this on Wednesday, there is no additional writing assignment.) 

Math: Lesson 5-1 Use regrouping to multiply two numbers. Read the top of page 88 about regrouping, and look through the example. Complete page 89 (EVENS only). Be sure to head your paper correctly. 

Religion: Discover the purpose and meaning of Jesus’ miracles. Pages 70-71 (continued from yesterday) If you completed this on Wednesday, work on your Saints Project. Remember, it is due next week.

Science: Bacteria/Virus (Staying Healthy) Pages 158-159 (continued from yesterday)

Readworks: “Body Buddies” due Friday.

We are going to “ADOPT” an online class pet! https://gifts.worldwildlife.org/gift-center/gifts/Species-Adoptions.aspx  Take a look at these species that we can “Adopt”! Choose one (your favorite). Be prepared on Friday to present your choice, along with your reason(s). We will vote, along with the 5th grade online students. :0)


5th Grade:

Math: Use patterns to divide whole numbers by multiples of 10, 100, 1000. Read through the examples at the top of page 68. Complete the Practice problems on page 69 (10-36 EVEN).
